Every code in the table applies to both vehicles and buildings. The final term is the one for the code shown on your card.
The four metrics you meet most often when comparing films, in plain language.
The percentage of visible light that passes through the film. The lower the number, the darker the film. A 49% film strikes a good balance between glare reduction and visibility.
Measures how well the film stops infrared heat, ultraviolet rays and visible light from entering the living space. The higher the number, the more comfortable you feel.
The share of infrared rays, the component that makes you feel hot, blocked by the film. Each manufacturer may measure over a different wavelength range.
The amount of UV blocked when the film is applied to glass. UV can fade curtains, interiors and floors prematurely.
The percentage of light reflected back by the film. The higher the number, the more mirror-like the appearance.
The unit of film thickness. VEGO’s gauge photos show 6.5mil as equal to 165 microns and 7.5mil as equal to 190 microns.
The term comes from the film code in the database at the time the card is activated, and customers can look it up online.
In the warranty system, VN60HD and VN40HD of VEGO ROYAL carry a 10-year term. Other codes have terms of 5 or 8 years, as shown in the table on this page.
