VLT is the reference visible light transmission for each product code. Real-world performance on a vehicle depends on the original glass, and dealers should re-measure after installation. TSER, IRR and UVR by code have not been published, so ask your dealer when you need to compare them.

A good setup does not use the same darkness on every window

Windshield

Prioritize high light transmission, a clear view and reduced glare when driving at night.

Front side windows

Balance your view of the mirrors with heat rejection and privacy.

Rear side windows & rear window

A darker tone can add privacy and reduce sun for the rear seats.

Before you decide

Which codes are in the HS Series?

The HS Series includes HS1580, HS3080 and HS8080, with VLT of 15%, 30% and 80% respectively.

Where is HS8080 used?

HS8080 has 80% VLT and is suggested for the windshield.

Does a darker film give better heat insulation?

Not necessarily. Darkness is VLT; heat rejection also depends on the film’s technology and construction. Consider visibility and glass position together.

Need the right film for your car or building?
